The School Store is a website with a simple idea: to help well known high street names and online stores donate money to schools when customers go online and buy things.

Formed from that simple idea is the website you see now. Lots of great names have signed up and are now able to donate money to the school of your choice. 

Start by informing parents about the site. Regular and routine use of The School Store will boost school funds. Get  groups of people involved and  generate a regular income. For example a PTA or School Council could encourage groups of parents to shop regularly at Tesco online. Just doing this could generate over £700 per year.See example. There is a headteachers letter for your information and a parents introduction letter.  When customers buy online through The School Store your school will get the money donated to your school. The School Store will monitor the donations and keep the school regularly informed. Then The School Store will send on the donations every time it builds up to £30. No effort from the school, no cost to you.

Of course with extra cash the school can buy extra books, equipment....what ever it feels will best improve the provision for your children.

How The School Store Works.

The School Store works with schools and popular online sites to provide much needed extra cash for your school. There is no need to register. Just follow the links, start shopping and earn money for your school at the same time!

When you choose one of the great websites available on The School Store you are asked to designate the school you wish to donate to. The websites available on The School Store will then  donate a percentage of the cost of your purchase to the school of your choice. The percentage varies depending on what you buy and who you buy it from. There is no extra cost to you. The donation made does not effect the cost of your purchases. It just means that by visiting your favourite sites through The School Store that online stores can then donate to the school of your choice. It's that easy.

If your school is not on the list yet, don't worry. Just type it in with the address or postcode and The School Store will do the rest!  

How your school will get paid 

When donations are made by stores they will be managed by The School Store. The School Store will identify which donations have been made to which stores and send the money to the school.

Sometimes these donations will be a few pence. For example, a typical donation may be 3% and a typical purchase may be £30. This will mean that 30p will be donated to your school.  However, as you and other members of the school community continue to purchase through The School Store overtime, making regular purchases through supermarkets for example, it can soon mount up.

The School Store will monitor the donations made to your school and will inform the school regularly of the amount of money currently donated. Each time the amount reaches £30 The School Store will send the money to the school. There is no cost to you.
